Winwick Windfarm Inquiry
There is to be a Planning Inquiry in to the proposed wind farm development at Winwick. The dates of the Inquiry have been changed – it now starts on 12th April and runs through to 26th April and it will take place in the Council Chamber of the District Council offices in Daventry, which is opposite the leisure centre.
West Haddon Parish Council, Winwick Parish Meeting and Guilsborough Parish Council have been busy commissioning expert reports and co-ordinating responses which they will put to the Inspector during the Inquiry.
West Haddon News Seeks A New Editor

The role is unpaid, but plays an extremely important part in helping to keep West Haddon residents informed of Parish Council activities and other local news, issues and events.
New Windfarm Application at Watford Gap
Spanish developer Gamesa have filed a planning application for seven 123 metre high turbines to be situated on a site at Watford Gap between the villages of Watford, Murcott and Long Buckby Wharf. These turbines are expected to be visible from West Haddon.
The application reference is number is DA/2011/0850 and the deadline for submitting comments and objections to Daventry District Council is November 22nd.

Watford Lodge Winfarm - Volkswind Win Their Appeal
Volkwind's have won their appeal and planning permission has been granted for construction of a windfarm, comprising 5 wind turbines, 5 transformer units, a control building/substation, access track, underground cabling, meteorological mast and crane hard standing areas on the site adjacent to Watford Lodge Farm.
